This guidance sheets contains examples of resources and activities and modeled examples of paragraphs. There is some sentence starters and connectives for weaker pupils.

You will be assessing play activities and resources for children, you should include the following information:
For each age group, 0-18 months, 18months-3 years and 3-5 years, you must provide examples of play activities and resources that could be used to promote each area of development (physical, social, communication and language, cognitive/intellectual and emotional learning).
You must then choose two play activities and resources for two different age ranges and discuss how each activity or resource would promote different areas of development, giving detailed examples to assess the extent to which each activity or resource is likely to promote children’s physical, social, communication and language, cognitive/intellectual and emotional learning.
Provide a conclusion in your information booklet about which of your chosen activities and resources are most likely to benefit children’s learning.

These two lesson are based on Pearson Btec Tech awards CHILD DEVELOPMENT and HEALTH AND SOCIAL
They are taster sessions for year 8’s and will be delivered on Microsoft TEAMS.
The include small tasks, examples of work and big questions we ask in both subjects.
As they are aimed at year 8 they do not discuss assessment but rather the hands on/vocational approach btec follows.

I am starting Child Development in year 9 for a 3 year course. It is an introduction year which will not contain any official btec documentation. Having taught Child Development for a year, there are certain areas which would benefit from more time. These lessons are half term 1- 16 lessons on:
